Being an integral part of China World Trade Center, China World Shopping Arcade was in business since August 1990 and among the first in the city of Beijing to introduce the "Shopping Mall" concept. Benoy London was the chosen architect for the design and construction of Phase 3 of the China World Mall. Benoy employed an eco-centric design to Phase 3 using eco-friendly materials and an abundance of glass to make the building complement its surroundings. The interior is simple and elegant with a level of comfort that radiates throughout the space. The finished structure will be a sight to behold and a space to be enjoyed.

As the hub of China World, the China World Mall seamlessly integrates every component of the development. With ground-level entry points from all four directions it is easily accessible from the East Third Ring Road, Guanghua Road, the Kerry Centre and the China World Exhibition Hall. And as the centerpiece of China World, the China World Mall features a large-scale, year-round outdoor landscaped garden with water features, bringing tranquility to the entire complex.

The major attraction of the mall, Le Cool ice rink is situated in Basement 2 of the shopping mall with a total ice surface of 800 m2. The rink is equipped with imported environmentally friendly CIMCO facilities from Canada. An area of about 650 m2 is also set aside for changing of skates & clothes, as well as a snack counter.

Le Cool Ice Rink is the sole figure-skating training centre in Beijing and each year the Beijing Figure Skating Competition and Asian Figure Skating Competition are successfully hosted there.
